About The Cornwall Quartet
The string quartet produces a rich, vibrant sound.
Passion, expertise and experience.
Originally from Cornwall, we each trained at leading conservatoires, The Royal College of Music in London and The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
Between us we have a wealth of performing experience, from concert halls, recording studios, on television as backing strings for rock and pop and bands, and for weddings and events throughout the UK and abroad.
We are privileged to live in the magnificent surroundings of Cornwall; we cannot think of a better location to hold a special event.
Wedding
Wedding Ceremonies
With regards to planning music into your ceremony, we are usually are asked to perform as follows :
Background music whilst guests are taking their seats, approximately 25 minutes before the ceremony starts.
One piece for the processional.
Two to three pieces during the signing of the register.
One piece for the recessional.
The above is only a guideline for a traditional order of events, so please don't hesitate to ask if you have something different in mind for your ceremony.
We are happy to accompany hymns, although nothing beats the Organ in its ability to lead a large a congregation in song!
Tailoring the music.
We appreciate the thought and effort that goes into choosing the individual details within a wedding ceremony. These touches reflect your individuality as a couple. Musical taste is highly personal and tailoring the music choices to be in keeping with your own taste gives you the opportunity to express meaning and emotion within the ceremony.
A string quartet has the ability to be totally versatile, it genuinely lends itself well to any type of music, from Baroque to heavy metal rock!
Should you need help or advice with the choices we are more than happy to suggest pieces that will suit you and the occasion.

Nothing beats live music in its ability to transform an atmosphere. As your celebration gets underway, we can contribute lively, upbeat and entertaining background music during the drinks reception and help to set an elegant, warm ambience during the wedding breakfast.
We can curate a mixture of well known classical, pop, jazz and film music, which all generations of family and friends will appreciate.
